Kodak announces full-scale commercialization of new KODAK SONORA Ultra Process Free Plates in Europe from Q2 2025.
Exciting times ahead for all Kodak plate users in Ireland. Onwards and upwards. Kodak are the only lithographic plate manufacturer still willing to put € & $ into R&D to keep pushing for ultimate perfection with their processless plate.
SONORA ULTRA Plates boast the highest image contrast in the SONORA line. 9x stronger than competitors’ process free plates and 1.5x stronger than KODAK SONORA XTRA Process Free Plates, it’s easy to see even the smallest image details on the plate, and you can be confident adding automation, thanks to SONORA ULTRA’s readability with vision systems and sorting equipment. SONORA ULTRA can also be imaged up to six weeks in advance, helping to increase your flexibility and productivity.
SONORA plates are manufactured using clean production processes with litho grade aluminium mined in Europe. Kodak SONORA plates are manufactured in Europe for European printers.
